Charlie Westbrook-Platts BVM&S MRCVS
– Veterinary Surgeon Clinical Director
Charlie graduated from Edinburgh University in 2002 her first post was in a small animal practice in Kettering for a year. Moving back North in 2003 she spent the next 2 years in a small animal practice in Bolton. Charlie then took up a position as night Vet and spent the next 5 years in a busy out of hours Veterinary Hospital dealing with emergencies and critical cases. Returning to day shifts, Charlie spend the next 4 years in a small Animal practice in Cheshire before taking on a new venture of clinical director and purchasing Evergreen Vets in 2016. In her spare time Charlie enjoys running and playing in a North England division one Hockey team. Charlie and husband Matt share their home with 9 cats and Dalmations Lenny and Elsa.
Helen Hamer BVSc MRCVS
Helen graduated from the University of Bristol in 2002 and initially worked in mixed practice in South Wales and then Somerset before moving into small animal only work in Hampshire in 2007. Following a move back home to Cheshire in 2012 she has worked in various practices locally since then. After being a regular locum vet at Evergreen since 2019 she has now joined the team in a permanent role. Most of her spare time is spent running, scuba diving and walking her border collie Kirby.
Caroline Lomax RVN – Practice Manager
Caroline qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2004 working at a large referral hospital and emergency practice. Involved in the training of Veterinary Nurses she qualified as a teacher, working in the training sector and carrying out RCVS approval visits to Veterinary Practices involved in training. Caroline spent 7 years working in education teaching vocational studies to disengaged pupils whilst working as a locum Veterinary Nurse during school holidays and weekends. Joining Evergreen in 2017 as a locum Nurse and becoming Practice Manager in 2020. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding, family time and days out with her Grandson, walking her dogs and is also a school Governor.
Lisa Foley RVN– Head Veterinary Nurse
Lisa qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008 working in small animal practice and joined the team at Evergreen in 2011. She has a keen interest in nursing clinics such as nutrition, dental checks, preventative treatment and weight clinics. Lisa owns 2 small dogs Thor and Pablo when she’s not working Lisa enjoys travelling with her husband, walking her dogs and spending time with her family.
Charlotte Bibby RVN
Charlotte trained at a large referral and emergency Veterinary practice qualifying in 2009. She spent a number of years working out of hours in emergency and critical care nursing before joining the Evergreen team in 2017. Charlotte has 3 young children, a rescue dog called Leyla and a cat called Flump which take up most of her spare time.
Tina Gadsby RVN
Tina qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1988 and started at Evergreen as a locum nurse before joining the team in 2020. Tina has completed the International Society of Feline Medicine Certificate in Feline Nursing and is currently working towards the Certificate in Advanced Feline Behaviour. Tina has 3 cats – Star, Tache and Eddie. In her spare time Tina enjoys live music events, cycling and walking.
Emma Judson RVN
Emma started Vet nursing in 1993 at a large referral and A&E practice, leaving to become Head nurse at a South Manchester practice. After having children she returned to the Veterinary Hospital working with routine cases and out of hours emergencies. Emma has an interest in Small Furries & Exotics; owning a herd of guineapigs and recently aquiring two young budgies. She enjoys a healthy lifestyle, swimming, walking and family time with her husband and three daughters.
Aimee Williams - Receptionist and Veterinary Hydrotherapist
Aimee is qualified in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, Advanced water treadmill, Animal care and Animal first aid. In 2015 Aimee began a career in the Hydrotherapy and small animal rehabilitation sector, initially working in the pool and eventually running the centre. In 2017 Aimee joined Evergreen working with the water treadmill offering personalised therapies for patients. Aimee runs the Evergreen Hydrotherapy alongside Ellie. Aimee also works part-time on the reception in Evergreen. In her spare time she enjoys long walks with her two Spaniels Milo and Bobby who keep her fit and active.
Ellie Cooke – Veterinary Hydrotherapist and Physiotherapist
Ellie graduated in Natural Sciences at Nottingham University in 2015 and has followed her dream of helping animals recover from injury, disease or surgery. Completing her Canine Hydrotherapy with additional modules for water treadmill, she joined Evergreen Hydrotherapy in 2017 which she runs alongside Aimee. Ellie has since completed her Advanced Certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy which allows her to utilise a range of therapeutic techniques. Ellie volunteers as Membership Secretary for The Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists.When at home Ellie is kept busy with her rescue dog Pip exploring the Cheshire countryside.
